Our sustainability actions support preservation of natural resources and destinations while contributing to the bottom line and enhancing our ability to deliver the value our customers expect. In addition to Radisson Hotel Group company-wide initiatives, we believe the travel and hospitality industry and other partners together can be a force for good.  We participate in significant collaborative initiatives to help build a better planet for all.

Radisson Hotel Group is committed to finding energy solutions which lesson our negative impact on the environment while balancing the need for 100% guest satisfaction. Participating hotels support this commitment through investment in environmentally friendly technology, use of renewable energy and achieving operational efficiencies.

6,000 LED lights have been installed at the Radisson Blu Hotel Oslo Scandinavia (Norway).

In addition to focusing on minimizing our carbon footprint in rooms and restaurants, Radisson Hotel Group is committed to providing comprehensive green meeting opportunities while balancing the environmental, economic and social impacts of our client’s business needs.

Radisson Blu’s Experience Meetings program is recognized by the Green Meeting Industry Council as a leader in sustainable meetings.

Addressing the challenge of managing global water resources and providing everyone with access to clean drinking water is important to Radisson Hotel Group. With a special focus on water stressed areas, participating hotels focus on minimizing water consumption by installing water saving technology and engaging guests and employees in water saving activities.

Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah installed a root irrigation system, reducing water use by 30 percent.

Radisson Hotel Group work to reduce, reuse and recycle—sharing best practices and working with suppliers to reduce waste and increase recycling. Because of its global and local impact, reducing food waste is a special area of focus with an eye on purchasing, kitchen preparation, plate waste and spoilage.

Country Inn & Suites® by Radisson chinaware program targets waste reductions from disposables.

Much of a hotel’s environmental impact is generated through products and services that are sourced—in the building design process, in the delicious food and drink we serve, and in our laundries. From sustainable seafood to cleaning products, we partner with like-minded suppliers committed to doing business responsibly.

Newly sourced products can cut a participating hotel’s water and energy consumptions for laundry by more than 20 percent.

Radisson Hotel Group values the third-party certification of our hotel’s sustainability efforts—as it ensures our achievements are fully transparent and credible, and it assists our hotels in identifying areas of opportunity. We and our independent franchise owners partner with recognized global ecolabels, such as Green Key, Green Key Global and EarthCheck, which audit hotel performance; we participate in leading green hotel programs, such as TripAdvisor’s GreenLeaders program.

More than 450 Radisson Hotel Group hotels have green labels.
